ECO Recycled Paper

All the papers in the ECO range are made from recycled fibres. They are made from a mixture of post consumer waste, pre-consumer waste and mill waste. The percentages vary with each type of paper. In some cases virgin fibre, from farmed resources is also used.

Post consumer waste is paper that has been used and if it is not recycled it is incinerated or disposed of in a landfill. As a result reusing it is the most ecologically beneficial. Pre-consumer waste is paper that has not been used, like the un-printed margins or off-cuts from print runs. If not recycled this too would be sent to landfill or incinerated. Mill waste is the paper that is left over from the production process and has always been recycled by paper makers.
All ECO papers are packed in biodegradable plastic bags made from corn starch. The action of moisture and bacteria breaks the corn starch down making the bags compostable.
